BSX Records has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 1988 television movie Drop-Out Mother (aka Goodbye Supermom) directed by Charles S. Dubin, written by Bob Shanks and starring Valerie Harper, Wayne Rogers, Carol Kane, Bruce Gray and Kim Hunter. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Gerald Fried (Star Trek: The Original Series, Roots, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Gilligan’s Island, Mission: Impossible). The soundtrack was released digitally on the label’s official website earlier this month and is now also available on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Drop-Out Mother follows a career-driven mother who quits her job to focus more on her family, only to find she actually ends up throwing everyone into an even deeper turmoil. The comedy premiered in 1988 on CBS and is currently available to stream on MGM+.
