Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action fantasy adventure Mortal Kombat II directed by Simon McQuoid and starring Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Josh Lawson, Jessica McNamee, Lewis Tan, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Damon Herriman, Tati Gabrielle, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, Chin Han and Hiroyuki Sanada. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Alien: RomulusTwisters, Hidden Figures, Shazam!The Conjuring: Last Rites, Blade Runner 2049The Invisible Man) who previously scored the original 2021 movie. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a new remix of the Olivier Adams-composed theme song Techno Syndrome from the game (feat. Also opening nationwide this weekend is the concert documentary Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard and Soft – The Tour (Live in 3D) directed by James Cameron & Eilish filmed during the singer/songwriter’s sold-out world tour. The movie doesn’t feature an original score. Darkroom & Interscope Records have released the companion “soundtrack” album featuring Eilish’s songs from the film/tour today.
