Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Renoir. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rémi Boubal (Plan 75, Black Tide, Teach Me If You Can, Our Mothers Bigger Than Us). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 10 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. Renoir is written and directed by Chie Hayakawa and stars Yui Suzuki, Lily Franky, Hikari Ishida, Yuumi Kawai, Ayumu Nakajima and Ryota Bando. The movie captures the delicate transition from childhood to adolescence through the eyes of an 11-year-old girl grappling with her father’s terminal illness. The drama, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival (and is also screening this month at TIFF), opened in Japanese theaters in June and will be released in French theaters tomorrow. Film Movement has picked up domestic distribution rights for a U.S. release in 2026.
