Daniel Pemberton & Metro Boomin were honored with their first Annie Award in Feature category for their music from Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at tonight’s 51st Annie Awards ceremony at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Pemberton composed the movie’s score, while Metro Boomin served as the executive producer of the film’s soundtrack, which was released by Republic Records. Pemberton’s score was released by Sony Classical. The other contenders in the category were Thomas Newman for Elemental, Kazuma Jinnouchi & RADWIMPS for Suzume, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Joe Hisaishi for The Boy and the Heron.
In the TV/Media category, Markus Wormstorm, Nadia Darries & Dineo du Toi won the award for their music from the episode Aau’s Song from Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Visions.
