Premiering in the U.S. is the British limited series The Gold written by Neil Forsyth and starring Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Tom Cullen, Dominic Cooper, Charlotte Spencer, Emun Elliott, Sean Harris, Stefanie Martini and Ellora Torchia. The show’s original music is composed by Simon Goff. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the drama premiered in the UK on BBC One. Premiering on Tuesday, September 19, is the Netflix original documentary The Saint of Second Chances directed by Morgan Neville and narrated by Jeff Daniels. Daniel Wohl (Project Blue Book, On the Come Up, The Weekend Away, Tales of the Walking Dead, Search Party, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead) has composed the film’s original score. The movie, which follows Mike Veeck on his journey to redeem himself after he blew up the career of his hustler father, Hall of Fame baseball owner Bill Veeck, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering on Thursday, September 21, is the Max original animated series Young Love created by Matthew A. Cherry and featuring the voices of Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi, Issa Rae, Harry Lennix, Loretta Devine, Tamar Braxton and Brooke Monroe Conaway. The show’s original music is composed by Amanda Jones (Naomi, The Perfect Find, Somebody Somewhere, Moving On, Super/Natural, Good Trouble) and Taylor Graves. The Sony Pictures Animation production, which explores the relationship between an African-American father, his daughter, and the daunting task of doing his daughter’s hair for the first time, will be available to stream exclusively on Max.
Premiering on Friday, September 22, is the Peacock original event series The Continental: From the World of John Wick developed by Greg Coolidge, Kirk Ward & Shawn Simmons based on characters from the John Wick movies and starring Colin Woodell, Mishel Prada, Mel Gibson, Ben Robson and Hubert Point-Du Jour. Raffertie (Alex Rider, White Dragon, One Way, Bull, Zone 414) has composed the show’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be announced soon. Also premiering on Friday is the sci-fi thriller No One Will Save You written and directed by Brian Duffield and starring Kaitlyn Dever. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Shadow and Bone, Oblivion, The Witcher, The Greatest Showman, Straight Outta Compton, Lady and the Tramp). Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music on Friday.
