CJ Mirra Scoring Fox’s ‘Rescue: HI-Surf’

CJ Mirra (A Banquet, Make or Break, Nascondino, Kidnapped) has been hired to score the new FOX drama Rescue: HI-Surf. The show is created by Matt Kester and stars Robbie Magasiva, Arielle Kebbel, Adam Demos, Alex Aiono, Kekoa Kekumano and Zoe Cipres. The series follows the personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawaii, the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world. Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age period drama White Bird. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Finding Nemo, The Shawshank Redemption, 1917, Skyfall, Road to PerditionWall-E, Elemental). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on October 4. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. White Bird is directed by Marc Forster and stars Ariella Glaser, Orlando Schwerdt, Gillian Anderson, Helen Mirren and Bryce Gheisar. The movie based on the book by R.J. Palacio is set in the same universe as 2017’s hit feature Wonder and follows the character of Julian who left Beecher Prep and is visited by his grandmother from Paris who tells him stories of her childhood as a young Jewish girl living in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. The show is created by Michael Grassi (Riverdale, Katy Keene) and stars Zachary Quinto, Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Aury Krebs, Alex MacNicoll, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears and Donna Murphy. The medical drama is inspired by the life and work of author and physician Oliver Sacks and follows a revolutionary, larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier – the human mind – while grappling with their own relationships and mental health. Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1972 psychological horror thriller The Other directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Uta Hagen, Diana Muldaur, Chris Udvarnoky & Martin Udvarnoky. The Deluxe Edition album features the first-ever release of the complete original score (in stereo) from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Chinatown, Star Trek: The Motion PicturePlanet of the ApesBasic Instinct, L.A. Silva Screen Records has released the first soundtrack album for the ITV drama Grace. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first four seasons composed by Matthew Slater (Tom Jones, Endeavour). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (Sandy Grace) after the jump. Grace is created by Russell Lewis based on the Roy Grace novels by Peter James and stars John Simm, Richie Campbell, Rakie Ayola, Amaka Okafor, Laura Elphinstone, Brad Morrison, Craig Parkinson and Adrian Rawlins. Varese Sarabande has announced a new “deluxe edition” soundtrack album for the 1995 action thriller Sudden Death directed by Peter Hyams and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Powers Boothe, Dorian Harewood and Raymond J. Barry. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, Elf, The Jungle Book, Horizon: An American Saga, Bruce Almighty, Hocus Pocus), including over half an hour previously unreleased music. A CD version is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release and a digital version will also be coming out next Friday, September 27. CMA Records will release a soundtrack album for the British period thriller The Critic. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, Love ActuallyRomeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible HulkRay, Far from the Madding Crowd, The Quiet American). The show is based on nine-book Karl Alberg series by novelist L.R.
