Also premiering in the U.S. tonight is a new TV adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo directed by Bille August and starring Sam Claflin, Jeremy Irons, Ana Girardot, Karla-Simone Spence, Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, Blake Ritson, Gabriella Pession, Michele Riondino, Lino Guanciale and Nicolas Maupas. Volker Bertelmann (Conclave, All Quiet on the Western FrontLion, Patrick Melrose, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, The Old Guard, The Crow, One Life) has composed the show’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in early 2025 when the 8-parter premiered in several European markets. Also premiering today is the Fox event series The Faithful: Women of the Bible developed by Rene Echevarria and starring Minnie Driver, Natacha Karam, Alexa Davalos, Blu Hunt,Millie Brady,  Tom Payne, Jeffrey Donovan,Tom Mison, James Purefoy,Taylor Napier, Ben Robson and Will Stevens. The show’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (ItAlien: Romulus,It: Welcome to Derry,  The FlashTwisters, Shazam!, Predator: Badlands, The Conjuring: Last Rites, Blade Runner 2049Hidden Figures). New Fox Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Premiering on Wednesday, March 25, is the British Prime Video original series Bait created by Riz Ahmed and starring Ahmed himself, Guz Khan, Sheeba Chaddh, Sajid Hasan, Weruche Opia, Aasiya Shah and Ritu Arya. Shruti Kumar (Trivia Night, Uncharted, This Will Never Work) has composed the show’s original music. The 6-part comedy, which follows a struggling actor whose last chance to hit it big comes in the form of an audition of a lifetime over the course of four wild days as his life spirals out of control and his family, will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.

Also premiering on Wednesday is the action thriller Pretty Lethal directed by Vicky Jewson and starring Iris Apatow, Lana Condor, Millicent Simmonds, Maddie Ziegler, Avantika and Uma Thurman. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (LimitlessDredd, Fellow Travelers, Boston Strangler, Last BreathDynasty, WatsonWormwoodTales from the Loop). The movie, which revolves around five ballerinas, stranded in a remote forest, as they take shelter at an unsettling roadside inn and must weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace and discipline into tools for survival, just premiered last week at the SXSW Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.

Premiering on Thursday, March 26, is the Netflix limited series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen created by Haley Z Boston and starring Camila Morrone, Adam DiMarco, Jennifer Jason Leigh,  Ted Levine, Gus Birney, Jeff Wilbusch,Sawyer Fraser and Karla Crome. Colin Stetson (HereditaryThe Menu, UzumakiColor Out of Space, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hold Your Breath, The First) has composed the show’s original music. Also premiering on Thursday is the Norwegian Netflix original series Jo Nesbo’s Detective Hole (Jo Nesbøs Harry Hole) created by Nesbø based on his crime novels and starring Tobias Santelmann, Joel Kinnaman, Pia Tjelta, Maxime Baune Bochud, Ellen Helinder, Anders Baasmo, Simon J. Berger, Kåre Conradi and Peter Stormare. The show’s original music is composed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Hell or High Water, Dahmer: Monster – The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, The Road, The Proposition, Lawless) .
