Opening semi-wide in a couple of hundred theaters is the crime thriller Americana written and directed by Tony Tost and stars Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Halsey, Eric Dane, Zahn McClarnon, Simon Rex, Toby Huss, Gavin Maddox Bergman, Derek Hinkey and Harriet Sansom Harris. David Fleming (Superman, The Last of Us, Damsel, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Hillbilly ElegyBlue Planet II, The Unforgivable) has composed the film’s original score. A soundtrack album is expected to be released in the coming weeks by Lakeshore Records. Also opening semi-wide in around 600 theaters is the drama is East of Wall written and directed by Kate Beecroft and starring Tabatha Zimiga, Porshia Zimiga, Jennifer Ehle and Scoot McNairy. The film’s original music is composed by Lukas Frank & Daniel Meyer O’Keeffe. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack EP featuring the composers’ score today. Also opening in a few hundred theaters is the supernatural horror movie Witchboard written and directed by Chuck Russell and starring Madison Iseman, Aaron Dominguez, Jamie Campbell Bower, Mel Jarnson, Antonia Desplat, David La Haye and Charlie Tahan. Opening in Los Angeles this weekend following a release in New York last week is the French drama The Musicians (Les musiciens) written and directed by Grégory Magne and starring Valérie Donzelli, Frédéric Pierrot, Daniel Garlitsky, Mathieu Spinosi, Emma Ravier and Marie Vialle. Grégoire Hetzel (Incendies, Ismael’s Ghosts, Summertime, The Midwife, My Golden DaysOh, Mercy!) has composed the film’s original music. Rue Jacob Records has released a soundtrack EP featuring the composer’s score, as well as Garlitsky’s cover of Nirvana’s My Girl this past May when the movie opened in France. Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Netflix today is the thriller Night Always Comes directed by Benjamin Caron and starring Vanessa Kirby, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Randall Park, Stephan James, Zachary Gottsagen, Michael Kelly, Julia Fox and Eli Roth.
