Rue Jacob Records has released a soundtrack EP for the French drama The Musicians (Les musiciens). The 6-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Grégoire Hetzel (Ismael’s Ghosts, Incendies, Summertime, My Golden Days, The Midwife, Oh, Mercy!) and performed by soloists including Petteri livonen, Daniel Garlitsky, Beatrice Muthelet, Cyrille Lacrouts, Nina Tonji & Tatiana Uhde. Also included is Garlitsky’s cover of Nirvana’s My Girl. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Musicians is written and directed by Grégory Magne and stars Valérie Donzelli, Frédéric Pierrot, Mathieu Spinosi, Garlitsky, Emma Ravier and Marie Vialle. The movie follows a woman who brings together four Stradivarius for a unique concert, but when the four virtuosos recruited for the occasion are incapable of playing together, she decides to go and find the only person who can still save the event: the composer of the score. The drama is opening in French theaters today.
