OONA has released a soundtrack album for the French fantasy drama Salem. The album features the film’s original music composed by Krister Linder (The Nile Hilton Incident, Cairo Conspiracy, Downloading Nancy, Metropia). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Salem is written and directed by Jean-Bernard Marlin and stars Dalil Abdourahim, Oumar Moindjie, Amal Issihaka Hali, Wallenn El Gharabaoui and Rachid Ousseni. The movie follows a former gang member who believes his daughter is the only one who can save his community from an apocalyptic curse and – after 12 years in prison – makes it his mission to find and convince her to fulfill his prophecy. The drama premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released in French theaters today.
