David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Haywire, Logan Lucky, Analyze That) has composed the original music for the upcoming historical thriller Shoshana. The film is directed by Michael Winterbottom (A Mighty Heart, The Claim) and stars Harry Melling, Irina Starshenbaum, Douglas Booth, Aury Alby and Ian Hart. The movie is set during the British Mandate of Palestine in the 1930s, when the daughter of an Israeli revolutionary falls in love with a British soldier. Winterbottom also co-wrote the screenplay with Laurence Coriat (Wonderland, Honky Dory) and Paul Viragh (The Face of an Angel). Melissa Parmenter (The Wedding Guest, Trishna), Josh Hyams (The Trip to Greece), Luigi Napoleone (Four to Dinner) and Massimo Di Rocco (Easy) are producing the Revolution Films and Bartleby Film production. Holmes has previously scored Revolution Films’ limited series This England. Shoshana is premiering this weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Holmes’ other recent projects include the BBC series The Woman in the Wall, which currently airs in the UK every Sunday.
