Joy Ngiaw (Blush, Rescued by Ruby) has recently been scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Glamourous. The show is created by Jordon Nardino (Star Trek: Discovery, Quantico) and stars Miss Benny, Kim Cattrall, Zane Phillips, Jade Payton, Michael Hsu, Ayesha Harris and Graham Parkhurst. The drama tells the story of a young gender non-conforming queer man whose life seems to be stuck in place until he lands a job working for legendary makeup mogul. Nardino is also executive producing the CBS Studios production with Damon Wayans Jr. and Kameron Tarlow of Two Shakes Entertainment. Todd Strauss-Schulson (Isn’t It Romantic, A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas) has directed and is executive producing the first two episodes. Glamourous will premiere this year on Netflix.
Ngiaw has also recently composed the music for Skydance Animation’s first studio logo. The animated sequence made its debut on the studios’ first feature Luck last year and will be attached to Skydance’s animated film slate, which includes the Alan Menken-scored Spellbound and Brad Bird’s Ray Gunn, going forward.
