Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania directed by Peyton Reed and starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Jonathan Majors, Kathryn Newton, Michelle Pfeiffer and Bill Murray. The film’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (FrozenFree Guy, WandaVision, The Hangover, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hawkeye). Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the noir thriller Marlowe directed by Neil Jordan and starring Liam Neeson, Jessica Lange, Diane Kruger, Danny Huston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Alan Cumming, Colm Meaney and Ian Hart. David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of SightKilling Eve, Analyze That, No Sudden Move, Haywire) has composed the film’s original score. Republic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and an original song by Jon Batiste last week. Opening in New York and Los Angeles today before expanding to more markets next week is the biographical drama Emily directed by Frances O’Connor and starring Emma Mackey, Fionn Whitehead, Adrian Dunbar, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Alexandra Dowling, Amelia Gething and Gemma Jones. The film’s original music is composed by Abel Korzeniowski (Nocturnal Animals, Penny Dreadful, A Single Man, Till, The Courier, W.E.). Spitfire Audio has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the movie opened in the UK. Also opening in select theaters this weekend is the Australian coming-of-age drama Of an Age written and directed by Goran Stolevski and starring Elias Anton, Thom Green and Hattie Hook. The film doesn’t feature a full original score. Andrew Kotatko serves as the project’s music supervisor. The movie, which is set in the summer of 1999 and follows a 17-year old amateur ballroom dancer as he experiences an unexpected and intense 24-hour romance with a friend’s older brother, is being distributed in the U.S. by Focus Features.

Opening in select U.S. theaters today following an awards-qualifying run in late 2022 is the drama Return to Seoul written and directed by Davy Chou and starring Park Ji-Min, Guka Han, Oh Kwang-Rok and Kim Sun-Young. Jérémie Arcache & Christophe Musset (Diamond Island) have composed the film’s original music. Grand Musique Management has released a soundtrack album featuring the score and songs from the movie in January when the movie opened in France. Also opening in select theaters is the thriller 88 written and directed by Eromose and starring Brandon Victor Dixon, Naturi Naughton, Orlando Jones, William Fichtner, Thomas Sadoski and Amy Sloan. The film’s original music is composed by Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible – Rogue NationJack Reacher, The Way of the Gun, Pandora, Comrade Detective)  No soundtrack album has been announced. Opening in a single theater today before premiering on Netflix next Friday, February 24, is the supernatural adventure comedy We Have a Ghost written and directed by Christopher Landon and starring David Harbour, Anthony Mackie, Jennifer Coolidge, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Tig Notaro and Steve Coulter. Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, Outlander, Godzilla: King of the Monsters10 Cloverfield LaneBattlestar Galactica) has composed the film’s original music. Also opening in select U.S. theaters today is the Chinese sports drama Ping Pong: The Triumph directed by Chao Deng and Baimei Yu. The film’s original score composed by Andrew Kawczynski (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sky HunterThe Eight Hundred, In Full Bloom). Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Adam, Black WidowTop Gun: MaverickThe LEGO Batman Movie). A soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music and a song by LuHan was released in the U.S. today.
