Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, The Lady and the Tramp, The Greatest Showman, Project Power, Insurgent) has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix original film Finding ‘Ohana. The movie is directed by Jude Weng and stars Kea Peahu, Alex Aiono, Kelly Hu, Lindsay Watson, Owen Vaccaro, Branscombe Richmond, Ke Huy Quan, Brad Kalilimoku, Chris Parnell, Marc Evan Jackson and Ricky Garcia. The family action adventure comedy follows two Brooklyn-raised siblings as they travel to Oʻahu for the summer  and connect with their Hawaiian heritage –  and their family – on a daring quest for long-lost treasure. Christina Strain wrote the screenplay. Ian Bryce (Saving Private Ryan, Transformers, Twister) is producing the project. Finding ‘Ohana will premiere on January 29, 2021 exclusively on Netflix.

As previously reported, Trapanese also has Sion Sono’s Prisoners of the Ghostland (premiering in January at the Sundance Film Festival), as well as the Netflix series Shadow and Bone (premiering this coming April) coming up.
