My Melody has released a soundtrack album for Yves Attal’s French comedy My Stupid Dog (Mon chien Stupide). The album features the film’s original music composed by jazz pianist Brad Mehldau who has previously scored Attal’s ..And They Lived Happily Ever After and My Wife Is an Actress. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. My Stupid Dog is co-written and directed by Attal who also stars in the movie alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg and Pascale Arbillot. The movie is based on the novel by John Fante and follows a bitter has-been novelist who is forced to reckon with his failings when an enormous dog takes up residence in the family home. The comedy will be released in French theaters this Wednesday, October 30 by Studiocanal.
