Adam Wingard announced on Twitter that Atticus Ross and Leopold Ross are scoring the upcoming Netflix original movie Death Note. The film is directed by Wingard and stars Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Lakeith Stanfield, Willem Dafoe and Shea Whigham. The movie is based on the Japanese manga and follows a young man as he begins killing those he deems unworthy of life when he is intoxicated by the power of a supernatural notebook. Roy Lee (The Strangers, The Lego Batman Movie), Dan Lin (The Lego Movie, Sherlock Holmes), Jason Hoffs (Edge of Tomorrow) and actor Masi Oka (Heroes) are producing the project. Death Note will premiere on August 25, 2017 on Netflix.
Atticus & Leopold Ross are also returning to score the second season of Cinemax’s Outcast, which will premiere on April 10.
