La-La Land Records has announced a new expanded and remastered soundtrack release for Mel Gibson’s Academy Award-winning 1995 drama Braveheart starring Gibson himself, as well as Sophie Marceau, Patrick McGoohan, Catherine McCormack and Angus Macfadyen. The album coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the movie and features the film’s original music composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) who received an Oscar nomination for his score. The 2-CD set, which is limited to 3000 copies, features previously unreleased music, as well as source music tracks and additional alternate cues. The album will be available to order this coming Tuesday, December 1, on the label’s official website.

The label has also announced a new soundtrack release for the 1994 live-action/animated feature The Pagemaster directed by Maurice Hunt & Joe Johnston and starring Macaulay Culkin, Christopher Lloyd and Kanin Howell. The album is limited to 2000 copies and features the film’s original music composed by James Horner, including two previously unreleased alternate cues. Also included are the two original songs from the movie, Whatever You Imagine performed by Wendy Moten and Dream Away performed by Babyface & Lisa Stansfield.
