Justin Burnett is currently scoring the upcoming action crime thriller Getaway. The movie is directed by Courtney Solomon (An American Haunting) and Yaron Levy and stars Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez and Jon Voight. The film follows a burned out race car driver forced to get behind the wheel for a criminal scheme when his wife is kidnapped. Gregg Maxwell Parker and Sean Finegan wrote the script and Solomon is producing the project with Moshe Diamant (The Black Dahlia, Tristan + Isolde) and Chris Milburn. Joel Silver (The Matrix, Die Hard), Alan Zeman and Steve Richards are executive producing the Dark Castle Entertainment and After Dark Films production. Burnett has previously collaborated with Solomon on the 2000 film adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons. Getaway is set to be released on August 30, 2013 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Burnett has also scored the action thriller Java Heat directed by Conor Allyn and starring Kellan Lutz, Mickey Rourke and Ario Bayu. The movie follows a reckless American who posing as a grad student and is bent on vengeance following a suicide bombing in Indonesia. Conor Allyn co-wrote the script and is producing the film with his father Rob Allyn. The film will be released on May 10, 2013 in select theaters and on VOD on May 13 by IFC Films.
