The Newton Brothers (Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Forever Purge, Life of Crime, The Walking Dead: World Beyond) have recently completed their score for the upcoming sci-fi drama The Life of Chuck. The film is written and directed by Mike Flanagan and stars Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Karen Gillan, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jacob Tremblay. The movie is based on the novella of the same title by Stephen King and examines the existence of the title character in reverse, beginning with his death at age 39 from a brain tumor and ending with his childhood in a haunted house. Flanagan is also producing the Intrepid Pictures production with Trevor Macy (The Raven, Eli). The Newton Brothers have previously scored all of Flanagan’s features, including Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil & Doctor Sleep, as well as his TV shows The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club and last year’s The Fall of the House of Usher. The Life of Chuck is expected to premiere later this year.

The composers’ recent projects also include Marvel Animation’s Disney+ series X-Men ’97, which just premiered last month with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
