Bhansali Music has released a soundtrack album for the Indian Netflix original series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The album features nine songs from the show written by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat). Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is created by Bhansali and stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha and Sanjeeda Sheikh. The period drama is set in pre-independent India against the backdrop of the freedom movement and follows two nemeses who are locked in a battle for succession of the titular district, where courtesans reign as queens. The series will premiere this Wednesday, May 1 exclusively on Netflix.
