Premiering on Wednesday, December 20, is the Disney+ original series Percy Jackson and the Olympians developed by Rick Riordan & Jonathan E. Steinberg based on Riordan’s book series and starring Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri. Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, The Walking Dead) has composed the themes for the show and Sparks & Shadows have provided the score. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album this coming Friday, December 22. Premiering on Thursday, December 21, is the second season of the Peacock original anthology series Dr. Death written by Ashley Michel Hoban based on the Wondery podcast and starring Edgar Ramírez, Mandy Moore, Luke Kirby, Gustaf Hammarsten and Ashley Madekwe. The show’s original music is composed by Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli, Death Note, Dispatches from Everywhere) & Nick Chuba (The Girl from Plainville, Operation Varsity Blues) who previously co-scored Season 1 with Atticus Ross. The new season, which  follows”Miracle Man” Paolo Macchiarini, a charming surgeon renowned for his innovative operations, will be available to stream on Peacock.

Premiering on Friday, December 22, is the second season of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original animated series What If…? created by A.C. Bradley. Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Prisoner’s Daughter, Regarding Susan Sontag, Stockholm, PennsylvaniaBird Karma) has joined Season 1 composer Laura Karpman (The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, American Fiction) to co-score the new season. Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have already released a first soundtrack (EP) featuring the composers’ music from the third episode of Season 2 this past Friday. Premiering on Saturday, December 23, is the NBC comedy Extended Family created by Mike O’Malley and starring Jon Cryer, Donald Faison, Abigail Spencer, Sofia Capanna and Finn Sweeney. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley,  Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Heels, The Kominsky Method, White House Plumbers, CSI :MiamiJust Friends).
