Premiering in the U.S. today is the British limited series The Gold written by Neil Forsyth and starring Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Tom Cullen, Dominic Cooper, Charlotte Spencer, Emun Elliott, Sean Harris, Ellora Torchia and Stefanie Martini. The show’s original music is composed by Simon Goff. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year. Premiering on Wednesday, June 28, is the British Apple TV+ limited series Hijack created by George Kay & Jim Field Smith and starring Idris Elba, Archie Panjabi, Christine Adams and Max Beesley. Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, The Dropout, Fate: The Winx Saga, Dangerous Liaison) has composed the show’s original music. Also premiering on Wednesday is the Australian psychological thriller Run Rabbit Run directed by Daina Reid and starring Sarah Snook, Lily Latorre, Greta Scacchi and Damon Herriman. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Bradshaw (Top of the Lake, Bright StarYou Won’t Be Alone, The Daughter, Resistance) and Marcus Whale. Also premiering on Wednesday is the documentary Anthem directed by Peter Nicks and produced by Ryan Coogler. Kris Bowers (Secret Invasion, Bridgerton, Green Book, King Richard, Dear White People) has composed the film’s original score. A soundtrack album will be released this coming week by Hollywood Records. The movie, which follows Bowers and producer Dahi as they journey across the country to find out how the national anthem would sound like if it was based on American music, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will be available to stream on Hulu.

Also premiering on Wednesday is the HBO original documentary Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed directed by Stephen Kijak about the actor’s life both on and off the screen. The film’s original music is composed by Laura Karpman (Ms. Marvel, What If…?, Underground, Lovecraft Country, Taken, Paris Can Wait, Set It Up). The movie, which uses archival footage and testimonies from some of Hudson’s closest friends, premiered earlier this month at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will debut on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.

Premiering on Thursday, June 29, is the Netflix anime series Ooku: The Inner Chambers based on the manga of the same title by Fumi Yoshinaga, written by Rika Takasugi, directed by Noriyuki Abe and starring Mamoru Miyanom, Eriko Matsui, Kikuko Inoue, Yuki Kaji, Jun Fukuyama and Tomokazu Seki. Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Ip ManDeath Note, Resident Evil: Vendetta) has composed the show’s original music.
