Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Morbius directed by Daniel Espinosa and starring Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Al Madrigal, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson. The film’s original music is composed by Jon Ekstrand (Life, Child 44, Easy MoneyBorg vs. McEnroeQueen of Hearts, I Am Greta). Opening in select theaters and on PVOD today is the thriller The Contractor directed by Tarik Saleh and starring Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Kiefer Sutherland, Gillian Jacobs, Fares Fares, Nina Hoss , Eddie Marsan and Amira Casar. The film’s original music is composed by Alex Belcher (Extraction, Made in America, 21 Bridges, IO). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Already playing in select U.S. theaters and on VOD (and also streaming on AMC+) since this past Wednesday is the Australian drama Nitram directed by Justin Kurzel and starring Caleb Landry Jones, Judy Davis, Essie Davis and Anthony LaPaglia. Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant, Overlord, The BabadookSon of a Gun, The Mustang) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Opening in select U.S. theaters today is the French biographical drama Gagarine co-written and directed by Fanny Liatard & Jérémy Trouilh and starring Alséni Bathily, Lyna Khoudri, Jamil McCraven, Finnegan Oldfield and Farida Rahouadj.. The film’s original music is composed by Evgueni & Sacha Galperine (The Undoing,  Loveless, Radioactive,The FamilyWizard of Lies) and Amine Bouhafa (Timbuktu, The Man Who Sold His Skin, Beauty and the Dogs). Haut et Court has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score last summer when the movie opened in France. Also opening in the U.S. today is the French comedy The Rose Maker (La fine fleur) co-written and directed by Pierre Pinaud and starring Catherine Frot, Fatsah Bouyahmed, Olivier Breitman, Olivia Côte, Vincent Dedienne, Melan Omerta and Marie Petiot. Mathieu Lamboley (Lupin, Return of the Hero, A Minuscule Adventure, Sisters in Arms, Daddy Cool) has composed the film’s original music. Grande Ourse has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last summer when the movie opened overseas. Premiering on Netflix today while also playing in select theaters is the comedy The Bubble co-written and directed by Judd Apatow and starring Karen Gillan, David Duchovny, Pedro Pascal, Iris Apatow, Maria Bakalova, Fred Armisen, Vir Das, Keegan-Michael Key, Samson Kayo, Guz Khan, Leslie Mann, Peter Serafinowicz, Kate McKinnon, Harry Trevaldwyn and Danielle Vitalis. The film’s original score is composed by Michael Andrews (Donnie DarkoNeighbors, Me and You and Everyone We Know, The Big Sick, Funny People, Bridesmaids) & Andrew Bird (NormanOutside In).
