Premiering tonight is the new Starz original series P-Valley created by Katori Hall and stars Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, Shannon Thornton, Harriett D. Foy, J. Alphonse Nicholso, Parker Sawyers, Skyler Joy, Elarica Johnson, Tyler Lepley and Dan J. Johnson. Reza Safinia (Filly Brown, Warrior, The Trust, Birth of the Dragon) has composed the original score for the first episodes of the show. Premiering on Tuesday, July 14, is the HBO documentary Showbiz Kids written and directed by Alex Winter about the shared experiences of prominent former child stars and the personal and professional price of fame and failure on a child. The movie, which features interviews with Henry Thomas, Mara Wilson, Todd Bridges, Cameron Boyce, Milla Jovovich,Evan Rachel Wood, Jada Pinkett Smith, Wil Wheaton, among otherss, features an original score composed by Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, and his sons Spencer Tweedy and Sammy Tweedy. Premiering on Wednesday, July 15, is the Peacock original series Brave New World based on Aldous Huxley’s novel of the same title and starring Alden Ehrenreich, Jessica Brown Findlay, Harry Lloyd, Kylie Bunbury, Hannah John-Kamen, Sen Mitsuji, Joseph Morgan, Nina Sosanya and Demi Moore. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Russo (FargoStar Trek: DiscoveryLegion) and Jordan Gagne (The Rookie, Waco, Altered Carbon). Also premiering on Wednesday is the ABC comedy United We Fall created by Julius Sharpe and starring Will Sasso, Bill Ryan, Christina Vidal, Jane Curtin as Sandy Ryan and Ella Grace Helton. Jeff Cardoni (Mike and Dave Need Wedding DatesCSI: MiamiJust Friends) is composing the show’s original score. Another show premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday is the British spy drama The Capture written and directed by Ben Chanan and starsring Holliday Grainger, Callum Turner, Ron Perlman, Famke Janssen, Ben Miles, Laura Haddock, Lia Williams, Sophia Brown and Paul Ritter. The show’s original music is composed by Ian Arber (MediciMy Name Is LennyAfter the Screaming Stops) and Blur drummer Dave Rowntree. Also premiering on Peacock on Wednesday is the British comedy Intelligence created and written by Nick Mohammed and starring Mohammed himself, David Schwimmer, Sylvestra Le Touzel, Gana Bayarsaikhan and Jane Stanness. Defoe Music has composed the show’s original score. The series, which is set in UK’s Government Communications Headquarters, where they tackle international and domestic Cyber Crime from a desktop. premiered in the UK earlier this year on Sky One and is making its U.S. debut on Peacock.

Also premiering on Peacock on Wednesday is the second Psych movie, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home written by Steve Franks (who also directed), Andy Berman & James Roday and starring Roday, Dulé Hill,Timothy Omundson, Joel McHale and Sarah Chalke. The film’s original music is composed by Adam Cohen (Kath & Kim, Crumbs) & John Robert Wood (Franklin & Bash) who have previously scored the Psych series and 2017’s Psych: The Movie. The film will be available to stream exclusively on Peacock.

Premiering on Thursday, July 16, is the Netflix original film Fatal Affair directed by Peter Sullivan and starring Nia Long, Omar Epps and Stephen Bishop. Matthew Janszen (The Sandman, Cucuy: The Boogeyman, Wrapped Up in Christmas) has composed the movie’s original music. The psychological thriller, which follows a lawyer who is caught in a terrifying game of cat and mouse when a drink with an old friend escalates into an obsession that jeopardizes everyone she loves, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.

Premiering on Friday, July 17, is the Netflix original series Cursed created by Frank Miller & Tom Wheeler and starring Katherine Langford, Devon Terrell, Gustaf Skarsgård, Daniel Sharman, Peter Mullan, Lily Newmark, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Billy Jenkins. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Russo (Star Trek: Picard, The Umbrella Academy, The Night Of). Also premiering  on Friday is the 22nd episode of the Hulu anthology series Into the DarkThe Current Occupant, written and directed by Alston and Julius Ramsay and starring  Barry Watson, Sonita Henry, Marvin ‘Krondon’ Jones III, Lilli Birdsell, Kate Cobb, Ezra Buzzington and Joshua Burge. The episode’s music is composed by Douglas Pipes (Krampus, Monster House, Trick ‘r Treat, The Babysitter). The Blumhouse Television production revolves around man with no memory who comes to believe that he’s the President of the United States and the subject of a diabolical political conspiracy.

Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix documentary Father Soldier Son directed by Catrin Einhorn and Leslye Davis. Nathan Halpern (The RiderMinding the Gap, Swallow, One Percent More HumidRich Hill) has composed the film’s original music. The movie centers on a fformer platoon sergeant and his two young sons over almost a decade, chronicling his return home after a serious combat injury in Afghanistan. The documentary, which was originally set to premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.

Missing from last week’s TV music roundup was the new Apple TV+ series Little Voice created by Jessie Nelson and starring Brittany O’Grady, Sean Teale, Colton Ryan, Shalini Bathina, Kevin Valdez, Phillip Johnson Richardson and Chuck Cooper. The show’s original music is composed by Sara Bareilles, Tyler Chester, Madison Cunningham and writer/producer Jessie Nelson.Epic Records/Loud Music have released a first soundtrack EP featuring the songs from the first three episodes.
