Tyler, the Creator has written an original song for Illumination Entertainment’s animated feature The Grinch. The rapper/record producer is also performing the track, which is entitled I Am The Grinch. He also collaborated with the film’s composer Danny Elfman on a new version of the classic Grinch song You’re a Mean One. The Grinch is directed by Scott Mosier & Yarrow Cheney and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit. Pharrell Williams has joined the movie as the narrator. The animated film will be released in theaters nationwide on November 9, 2018 by Universal Pictures. (Deadline)
