Lionsgate Records has released a score album for the zombie romance Warm Bodies. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composers Marco Beltrami (Scream, 3:10 to Yuma) and Buck Sanders (The Hurt Locker, Max Payne). The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Warm Bodies is directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50) and stars Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, Dave Franco, Analeigh Tipton and John Malkovich. The movie based on the novel by Isaac Marion about a zombie who rescues a girl from an attack and inadvertently sparks a cross-dead romance is now playing in theaters nationwide.

Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the zombie romance Warm Bodies directed by Jonathan Levine and starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, Dave Franco, Analeigh Tipton and John Malkovich. The film’s music is composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, 3:10 to Yuma) and Buck Sanders (The Hurt Locker, Max Payne). Despite featuring a significant amount of original score, as well as numerous songs, no soundtrack album has been announced at this point. Also opening wide is the action thriller Bullet to the Head directed by Walter Hill and starring Sylvester Stallone, Sung Kang, Jason Momoa, Sarah Shahi and Christian Slater. Steve Mazzaro has composed the film’s original score and Hans Zimmer has produced the music. A soundtrack album featuring Mazzaro’s score has been released earlier digitally this week and will be coming out on February 19 on CD by Varese Sarabande. Marco Beltrami to Score ‘Snowpiercer’ and ‘Warm Bodies’
Marco Beltrami has been hired to score the upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller Snowpiercer. The film marks the English-language feature debut of Korean director Bong Joon-ho (Mother, The Host) and stars Chris Pine, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, John Hurt, Kenny Doughty and Octavia Spencer. The movie is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. Bong has co-written the screenplay with Kelly Masterson (Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead). Chan-wook Park (Oldboy) is producing the independent production. Snowpiercer is currently lensing in Prague.
