Toho Co. & Rambling Records have released a soundtrack album for the Japanese Netflix limited series Human Vapor. The album features the show’s original music composed by Takashi Ohmama (Last Samurai Standing, Asakus Kid, Star Wars Visions: Yuko’s Treasure). A CD version is also being released in Japan and available to order here as an import here. Human Vapor is directed by Shinzo Katayama and stars Shun Oguri, Yu Aoi, Suzu Hirose, Kento Hayashi, UTA, Kuu Izima, Haruka Imou, Motoki Kobayashi, Yota Kawase and Kanji Furutachi. The 8-part sci-fi thriller based on Toho’s 1960 classic feature follows a detective on suspension who is recruited to hunt down the criminal behind a series of unprecedented murders involving a man who calls himself the Human Vapor (UTA) and announces that he will perform a series of murders, sending society into a great panic.

‘Last Samurai Standing’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released
Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese Netflix original series Last Samurai Standing. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Takashi Ohmama (Asakus Kid, Star Wars Visions: Yuko’s Treasure). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Last Samurai Standing is based on the novel of the same title written by Shogo Imamura and stars Junichi Okada, Yumia Fujisaki, Kaya Kiyohara,Masahiro Higashide, Shota Sometani, Taichi Saotome, Kairi Jo, Yuya Endo, Taiiku Okazaki and Yasushi Fuchikami. The action drama, tells the story of a man once known as an undefeated samurai who decides to participate in a deadly survival game to save his family and villagers.

Premiering tomorrow, November 10, is the Prime Video original animated series Bat-Fam developed by Mike Roth & Jase Ricci and staring Luke Wilson, Yonas Kibreab, James Cromwell, Haley Tju, London Hughes, Bobby Moynihan, Michael Benyaer, Reid Scott, Diedrich Bader, Kevin Michael Richardson and Natasha Leggero. Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump (Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Merry Little Batman, Gnome Alone, Sick Girl, Black Friday, Changeland) has composed the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, November 12, is the Prime Video original movie Playdate directed by Luke Greenfield and starring Alan Ritchson, Kevin James, Sarah Chalke, Stephen Root, Alan Tudyk, Banks Pierce, Hiro Kanagawa, Benjamin Pajak and Isla Fisher. The film’s original music is composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, White House Plumbers, The Kominsky Method, Heels, CSI: Miami, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Ghosts, Just Friends). ‘Asakusa Kid’ Soundtrack Album Details
Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese Netflix original film Asakusa Kid. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Takashi Ohmama. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 9 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. Asakusa Kid is written and directed by Gekidan Hitori and stars Yo Oizumi, Yuya Yagira, Mugi Kadowaki, Nobuyuki Tsuchiya, Ayumu Nakajima, Yusuke Furusawa, Nana Komaki and Yoko Oshima. The drama is based on “Beat” Takeshi Kitano’s 1992 memoir and tells the story of the legendary comedian and auteur who is known in Japan and around the world and his relatinship with the lesser known mentor Senzaburo Fukami, a largely forgotten comedian who once mastered the stage.
