Varese Sarabande/Music.Film Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the romantic drama Endless. The album features the film’s original music composed by Todd Bryanton (The Tall Man, The Humanity Bureau, The Recall) and Nik Freitas (Christmas Trade). Also included is the original song Wish performed by Lily Kershaw who also co-wrote the track with Freitas. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 28 and will be available to stream/download here. Endless is directed by Scott Speer and stars Alexandra Shipp, Nicholas Hamilton, DeRon Horton and Famke Janssen. The movie centers on two love struck high school graduates who get separated by a tragic car accident.

Sparks & Shadows will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural romantic thriller I Still See You. The full details of the soundtrack album for the romantic drama Midnight Sun have been revealed. The album features the original songs from the movie performed by the film’s star Bella Thorne, as well as tracks by White Sea, Waters, Mia Wray and Adriel. Also included is the film’s original score composed by Nathaniel Walcott (The Fault in Our Stars). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on March 23 by Lakeshore Records. Bear McCreary to Score Scott Speer’s ‘Break My Heart 1000 Times’
Bear McCreary is currently scoring the upcoming supernatural romantic thriller Break My Heart 1000 Times. The film is directed by Scott Speer (Step Up Revolution, Midnight Sun) and stars Bella Thorne, Dermot Mulroney and Richard Harmon. The movie based on the novel by Daniel Waters is set after a cataclysmic event that has allowed ghost-like beings named Remnants to co-exist with the living and revolves around a Remnant who threatens the life of a young woman, propelling her on an adventure. Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Drift, Pan) wrote the screenplay.
Jeff Cardoni to Score Scott Speer’s ‘Status Update’
Jeff Cardoni has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Status Update. The film is directed by Scott Speer (Step Up Revolution) and stars Ross Lynch, Olivia Holt, Courtney Eaton, Rob Riggle, Famke Janssen, John Michael Higgins, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Josh Ostrovsky, Alexandra Siegel, Diana Bang, Martin Donovan, Harvey Guillen, Gregg Sulkin and Brec Bassinger. The movie centers on a teenager who, after being uprooted by his parents’ separation and unable to fit into his new hometown, stumbles upon a magical app that causes his social media updates to come true. Jason Filardi (Bringing Down the House, 17 Again) wrote the screenplay.
Aaron Zigman to Score ‘Step Up Revolution’
Aaron Zigman has been tapped to score the upcoming dance movie Step Up Revolution. The fourth movie in the Step Up series is directed by music video/commercials director Scott Speer and stars Kathryn McCormick, Ryan Guzman and Stephen Boss. The film follows the daughter of a wealthy businessman who arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer, but soon falls in love with a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs. Adam Shankman (Hairspray) is producing the film with Jennifer Gibgot (17 Again), Erik Feig (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Patrick Wachsberger (Mr. & Mrs. Smith). Jon Chu who helmed the previous two films is executive producing. Zigman has previously scored the original Step Up film in 2006, as well as the 2008 sequel Step Up 2: The Streets, while Bear McCreary scored the third installment Step Up 3D in 2010.
BT Tapped to Score ‘Step Up 4’
BT has been tapped to score the upcoming dance movie Step Up 4. The sequel will be set in the backdrop of Miami. As announced this week, music video/commercials director Scott Speer will be helming the film and Jon Chu who directed the last two installments in the series (and is attached to direct the upcoming G.I. Joe sequel) will be executive producing. Chu and Steer previously worked together on the TV show The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. The film’s script is being written by Jenny Mayer and Adam Shankman (Hairspray, the upcoming Rock of Ages) is among the movie’s producers. The project marks BT’s first feature scoring assignment in several years.
