Sonar Music will release the official soundtrack album for the Australian/New Zealand historical epic The Convert. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matteo Zingales (99 Homes,The Hunter, Fahrenheit 451, Tidelands, Mystery Road) . The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 21 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Convert is co-written and directed by Lee Tamahori and stars Guy Pearce, Tioreore Ngatai-Melbourne, Antonio Te Maioha, Jacqueline McKenzie and Lawrence Makoare. The movie is set in early 19th Century New Zealand and tells the story of a newly arrived preacher in a colonial town who finds himself at the center of a long-standing battle between two Māori tribes.

‘Along Came a Spider’ & ‘The Serpent and the Rainbow’ Deluxe Edition Soundtracks Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series, including a new deluxe edition soundtrack for the 2001 thriller Along Came a Spider directed by Lee Tamahori and starring Morgan Freeman, Monica Potter, Michael Wincott, Penelope Ann Miller and Michael Moriarty. The album features the complete original score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien, Chinatown, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, L.A. Confidential, Patton), including almost 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as bonus track of outtakes. Abel Korzeniowski to Score Lee Tamahori’s ‘Emperor’
Abel Korzeniowski has signed on to score the upcoming historical action adventure Emperor. The film is directed by Lee Tamahori (Die Another Day, The Edge, Next, Along Came a Spider) and stars Adrien Brody, Sophie Cookson, Paz Vega, Eddie Marsan, Gotz Otto, Bill Skarsgard, Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Platt and Rutger Hauer. The movie centers on the brilliant strategist Emperor Charles V, trying to hold together a fragmented Empire, in a 16th century world of wealth, debauchery, violent retaliations, sex, manipulation and treason.
