Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Narcos: Mexico, Star Wars: The Clone Wars & The Bad Batch, CSI: Miami, Making a Murderer, Doom Patrol, Hell on Wheels) is the composer of the new CBS drama NCIS: Origins. The prequel to the original NCIS series (which launched in 2003 and is currently being scored by Brian Kirk) is narrated by Mark Harmon and stars Austin Stowell, Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie and Diany Rodriguez. The series follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS as he starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office, where he forges his place on a gritty ragtag team.

Clint Mansell & Kevin Kiner Scoring Max’s ‘Creature Commandos’
Writer/director James Gunn has revealed that Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Moon, Noah, The Fountain, The Wrestler) & Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars & The Bad Batch, Narcos: Mexico, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels) are teaming up to score the upcoming Max adult animated original series Creature Commandos. The show is written by Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad) based on DC Characters and features the voices of Steve Agee, Maria Bakalova, Zoe Chao, Anya Chalotra, Frank Grillo, David Harbour, Sean Gunn, Alan Tudyk, Indira Varma and Viola Davis. The DC Studios & Warner Bros. Animation production tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans.
World Premiere Release of Kevin Kiner’s ‘Safe House’ Score Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1998 psychological thriller Safe House co-written and directed by Eric Steven Stahl and starring Patrick Stewart, Kimberly Williams, Héctor Elizondo, Craig Shoemaker, Joy Kilpatrick and Julia Vera. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Rebels & The Bad Batch, CSI: Miami, Narcos: Mexico, Hell on Wheels, Peacemaker, Dark Winds, Titans, Doom Patrol). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD-R on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find more about the release. A digital version is also expected to be released in the coming weeks.
‘Star Wars Lofi’ Digital Album Collection Announced
Disney Music has announced the Star Wars Lofi digital music collection. The first volume features lofi mixes crafted by composer Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Bad Batch & The Clone Wars, Peaceamaker, Doom Patrol, Narcos: Mexico), along with songwriters and producers Chantry Johnson, Lucky West, and Nick Pingree. Among the titles featured are tracks from Ludwig Göransson’s The Mandalorian, Nichols Britell’s Andor and Kiner’s own scores from Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka. Walt Disney Records will release two new soundtrack albums for Lucasfilm’s animated TV series Star Wars Rebels. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s third and fourth seasons composed by Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars & The Bad Batch, Narcos: Mexico, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels, Titans, Doom Patrol, Peacemaker).
