WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the HBO Max original series Julia. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Onward, Tyrant, Camelot, The Boondock Saints, Alias Grace, The Addams Family, Storks). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. Julia is created by Daniel Goldfarb and stars Sarah Lancashire, David Hyde Pierce,Bebe Neuwirth, Brittany Bradford, Fran Kranz and Fiona Glascott. The comedy is inspired by author and television star Julia Child’s life and her long-running TV series The French Chef , which pioneered the modern cooking show.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Julia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman (Emma, The Cider House Rules, Chocolat, Never Let Me Go, A Dog’s Purpose, The Manchurian Candidate, The Duchess, The Vow). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 19 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the family comedy Clifford the Big Red Dog directed by Walt Becker and starring Jack Whitehall, Darby Camp, Tony Hale, Sienna Guillory, David Alan Grier, Russell Wong and John Cleese. The film’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus). Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details). Epic Records has released the original song Room for You performed by Madison Beer last week (click here to listen to the track). The movie opened in theaters on Wednesday and is also available to stream on Paramount+.
Opening semi-wide in around 600 theaters is the drama Belfast written and directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Caitriona Balfe, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciaran Hinds and Jude Hill. Van Morrison has composed the film’s original music, including a few score cues and the original song Down to Joy. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. The movie, which tells the story of a boy’s childhood, amid the music and social tumult of the late 1960s, premiered at this year’s Telluride and Toronto Film Festivals and is being released by Focus Features.

The film is directed by Julie Cohen & Betsy West (RBG, My Name Is Pauli Murray) and tells the story of the legendary cookbook author and television superstar Julia Childs who changed the way Americans think about food, television, and even about women. The movie uses never-before-seen archival footage, personal photos and first-person narratives to trace Child’s path and her struggles to create and publish the revolutionary Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
