Varese Sarabande Records has published the track list and cover art for the upcoming soundtrack release for I Am Number Four. The album features 21 tracks from Trevor Rabin’s score for the film. The soundtrack will be released on May 17, 2011. The CD is available to order on Amazon. Also check out audio clips from all tracks below. I Am Number Four directed by D.J. ‘I Am Number Four’ Score Album coming
Director D.J. Caruso announced on Twitter that a release of Trevor Rabin’s music for the teen sci-fi movie I Am Number Four is in the works. After some digging, we found out that the soundtrack release will most likely be tied to the DVD/Blu-Ray release this summer and one of the major soundtrack labels will be releasing the album. Details will be posted once an official announcement is made. I Am Number Four starring Alex Pettyfer, Dianne Agron, Timothy Olyphant and Teresa Palmer and produced by Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg is currently playing in theaters. Three new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:
The teen sci-fi action movie I Am Number Four directed by D.J. Caruso and starring Alex Pettyfer, Dianne Agron, Timothy Olyphant and Teresa Palmer features a score by Trevor Rabin, as well as many songs from such artists as Beck, Kings of Leons and The Black Keys. No soundtrack album has been announced for the Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg-produced movie. There is about 45 minutes of Rabin’s score in the film, which would make a soundtrack release a definite possibility. Check back on this site if an announcement will be made.
Also opening is the mystery thriller Unknown directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Liam Neeson, January Jones, Diane Kruger, Frank Langella and Aidan Quinn. The music for the Joel Silver-produced movie is written by John Ottman and Alexander Rudd. Trevor Rabin to score ‘I Am Number Four’
Film Music Reporter has learned that Trevor Rabin has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi action movie I Am Number Four. The movie is directed by D.J. Caruso, who previously worked with such composers as Thomas Newman (The Salton Sea), Philip Glass (Taking Lives), Christophe Beck (Two for the Money), Geoff Zanelli (Disturbia) and Brian Tyler (Eagle Eye). The movie stars Timothy Olyphant, Kevin Durand and Teresa Palmer and centers around the character of John, an extraordinary teen, masking his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. The movie is produced by Michael Bay, who previously worked with Trevor Rabin on such movies as Armageddon and Bad Boys 2. The Dreamworks movie will be the first film released by Walt Disney Pictures and is scheduled to open on February 18, 2011. To watch the trailer, check out the official movie webpage.
