Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the score to the 2005 movie adaptation of the video game Doom directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak and starring Karl Urban, Rosamund Pike, Dwayne Johnson and Razaaq Adoti. The 2-LP deluxe edition features the film’s original score composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, Noah, The Fountain, Rebecca, Peacemaker, The Wrestler, Stoker, Love Lies Bleeding, Moon) and will be available on on Green and Orange Smoke vinyl (in homage to the Doomguy’s suit colors) in North America and as a Black Ice vinyl internationally. The soundtrack will be released on October 11 and is now available for pre-order on Varese’s official website (where you can also find out more details) now and will also be available on Amazon within the next couple of days. The 2-LP gatefold package includes brand-new illustrations by artist Micha Huigen on the cover and the inside of the package.

‘Doom’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2005 sci-fi action adventure Doom based on video game series of the same title, directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak and starring Karl Urban, Rosamund Pike, Razaaq Adoti and Dwayne Johnson. The 2-CD set features the expanded original score from the film composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Noah, Peacemaker, Rebecca, Love Lies Bleeding, Moon, The Wrestler, Stoker), including over an hour of previously unreleased music. The Deluxe Edition soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more about the release. ‘Doom: Annihilation’ Soundtrack Details
Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the action horror movie Doom: Annihilation. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Field of Lost Shoes, Hangman, The Scorpion King: Book of Souls). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 27, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Doom: Annihilation is directed by Tony Giglio and stars Amy Manson, Dominic Mafham, Luke Allen-Gale and Nina Bergman. The movie executive produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura & John Wells is based on the Doom video game franchise and follows a group of space marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth.
Frederik Wiedmann to Score New ‘Doom’ Film Adaptation
Frederik Wiedmann has been tapped to score the upcoming new film adaptation of the video game Doom. The film is written and directed by Tony Giglio (Chaos, In Enemy Hands) and stars Louis Mandylor, Chidi Ajufo, Jemma Moore, Arkie Reece, James Weber Brown, Nina Bergman, Amy Manson, Clayton Adams, Amer Chadha Patel and Luke Allen-Gale. No plot details have been announced yet. The movie is produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment, for which Wiedmann has previously scored numerous projects, including Jarhead 2: Field of Fire & Jarhead 3: The Siege, Tremors 5: Bloodlines & Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell and this year’s Death Race: Beyond Anarchy and The Scorpion King: Book of Souls (to be released later this month).
