Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ feature Elio. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob Simonsen (Deadpool & Wolverine, The Whale, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Foxcatcher, The Way Back, It Ends with Us, The Age of Adaline, (500) Days of Summer, Nerve). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Elio is directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi & Adrian Molina and features the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, Remy Edgerly, Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett and Shirley Henderson. The movie follows a space fanatic with a huge alien obsession who is mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader and must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be.

The film is directed by Madeline Sharafian (Sparkshorts: Burrow), Domee Shi (Turning Red, Bao) & Adrian Molina (Coco) and features the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, Brad Garrett, Remy Edgerly, Jameela Jamil and Shirley Henderson. The movie tells the story of an alien-obsessed boy who gets transported to the Communiverse, an interplanetary paradise that is home to intelligent life from galaxies far and wide, where he’s mistaken as Earth’s leader.
Ludwig Göransson to Score Pixar’s ‘Turning Red’
Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Tenet, Creed, Venom, Community) has been tapped to score the upcoming animated feature Turning Red. The film is directed by Domee Shi (Bao) and features the voices of Rosalie Chiang and Sandra Oh. The movie revolves around a 13-year-old girl who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited and her over-protective, mother who is never far from her daughter. Lindsey Collins (Finding Dory, John Carter) is producing the Pixar Animation Studios production.
