Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ feature Elio. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob Simonsen (Deadpool & Wolverine, The Whale, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Foxcatcher, The Way Back, It Ends with Us, The Age of Adaline, (500) Days of Summer, Nerve). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Elio is directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi & Adrian Molina and features the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, Remy Edgerly, Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett and Shirley Henderson. The movie follows a space fanatic with a huge alien obsession who is mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader and must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be. The animated feature is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Walt Disney Pictures.
