Rob Simonsen (Deadpool & Wolverine, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, The Whale, It Ends with Us, Foxcatcher, The Way Back, The Age of Adaline, Nerve, (500) Days of Summer) is currently scoring Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Elio. The film is directed by Madeline Sharafian (Sparkshorts: Burrow), Domee Shi (Turning Red, Bao) & Adrian Molina (Coco) and features the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, Brad Garrett, Remy Edgerly, Jameela Jamil and Shirley Henderson. The movie tells the story of an alien-obsessed boy who gets transported to the Communiverse, an interplanetary paradise that is home to intelligent life from galaxies far and wide, where he’s mistaken as Earth’s leader. Mary Alice Drumm is producing the project. Elio will be released in theaters nationwide on June 13, 2025 by Walt Disney Pictures.
