Hollywood Records and Marvel Music have released the original song Whatcha Gonna Do (It’s Up to You) from the ABC drama Agent Carter. The song was written by the show’s composer Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Ride Along, Supernatural) and David Zippel for the Season 2 episode A Little Song and Dance, which premiered last month. The track is performed by actors Enver Gjokaj and Hayley Atwell. The song is now available to download on Amazon. A full soundtrack album for the series created by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely featuring Lennertz’s score from the first season was released in December.

‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Soundtrack Details
Buena Vista Records has announced the details for the soundtrack release of Captain America: The First Avenger. The album includes the original score by Alan Silvestri, as well as the original song Star Spangled Man with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by David Zippel. The soundtrack will be released on July 19, 2011 and is available to pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips from each track on the album below. The music was recorded at Air Studios in London. Captain America: The First Avenger is directed by Joe Johnston and stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci and Dominic Cooper.

Buena Vista Records will be releasing the soundtrack album for the comic book adaptation of Captain America: The First Avenger. The album is set to be released on July 19, 2011. No announcement has been made yet about the soundtrack’s contents, but it is expected that Alan Silvestri‘s score, as well as composer Alan Menken‘s and lyricist David Zippel‘s song for the film will be included on the release. Alan Menken developing TV musical comedy show
Deadline Hollywood reported this week that composer Alan Menken has teamed with lyricist David Zippel and comedy writer Marco Pennette for a musical comedy set up at ABC. The show is described as St. Elmo’s Fire meets Rent and centers on a young female musician living with other musicians as they try to make their way into the world. Unlike the currently airing musical TV hit show Glee and other musical TV show in development, Menken’s untitled project would feature in 2-3 songs in every episode, which given network TV’s usual yearly episode order of 22 or more would make it an extremely ambitious undertaking.
