Premiering tonight is the AMC original series Interview with the Vampire created by Rolin Jones based on Anne Rice’s classic novel of the same name and starring Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Assad Zaman, Bailey Bass and Eric Bogosian. The show’s original music is composed by Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, The Green Knight, The Old Man and the Gun, A Ghost Story, Strange Angel). Also premiering tonight is the CBS drama East New York created by William Finkelstein & Mike Flynn and starring Amanda Warren, Jimmy Smits, Richard Kind, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, Olivia Luccardi, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Lavel Schley. Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘The Empress’ Released

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s German original series The Empress (Die Kaiserin). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Johannes Lehniger (Nothing Bad Can Happen, Raus),Lisa Morgenstern and Sebastian Damerius (Pelican Blood, Sleep). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The Empress is created by Katharina Eyssen and stars Devrim Lingnau, Philip Froissant, Melika Foroutan, Johannes Nussbaum, Jördis Triebel, Elisa Schlott, Almila Bagriacik and Wiebke Puls. The period drama directed by Katrin Gebbe & Florian Cossen follows a rebellious Elisabeth who falls for Emperor Franz and becomes his unlikely bride as she enters a world of tension and intrigue at the Viennese court. Rachel Portman to Score Showtime’s ‘King Shaka’

Rachel Portman (The Cider House Rules, Emma, Chocolat, The Manchurian Candidate, Never Let Me Go) has revealed in a recent interview during the Zurich Film Festival (where she received the Career Achievement Award) that she is set to score the upcoming Showtime original series King Shaka. The show is created by Olu Odebunmi & Tolu Awosika and stars Charmaine Bingwa, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe, Tony Kgoroge, Sindi Dlatu and Bahle Hadebe. The drama tells the story of the Zulu Empire founder Shaka and his unlikely rise to power, uniting multiple tribes across vast stretches of Africa in the early 19th century to transform his power into legend. ‘Cosmic Dawn’ Soundtrack Album Released

Alan Howarth (Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China, They Live, Halloween II, III & IV, Prince of Darkness, Christine) has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Cosmic Dawn. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Cosmic Dawn is directed by Jefferson Moneo and stars Camille Rowe, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Joshua Burge, Phil Granger and Antonia Zegers. The movie follows a woman who joined an UFO cult after witnessing the alien abduction of her mother as a child and years later – after having moved on from the cult – is forced to confront her past and pursue the ultimate truth about The Cosmic Dawn. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Smile written and directed by Parker Finn and starring Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, Caitlin Stasey, Robert Weigert, Kal Penn and Rob Morgan. The film’s original music composed by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (The White Lotus, Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, The Third Day, National Treasure). Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Bros co-written and directed by Nicholas Stoller and starring Billy Eichner, Luke Macfarlane, Guy Branum, Miss Lawrence, Dot-Marie Jones, Ts Madison, Eve Lindley, Jim Rash, Guillermo Díaz and Amanda Bearse. Marc Shaiman (A Few Good Men, Hairspray, Mary Poppins Returns, When Harry Met Sally..., Misery, Sleepless in Seattle) has composed the film’s original score. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song co-written by himself and Eichner. ‘Huluween Dragstravaganza’ Soundtrack EP Released
