Tindersticks are reuniting with director Claire Denis on the upcoming thriller Stars at Noon. The film starring Margaret Qualley, Joe Alwyn, Danny Ramirez, Nick Romano, Benny Safdie and John C. Reilly is set in 1984 during the Nicaraguan Revolution and follows a mysterious English businessman and a headstrong American journalist who strike up a passionate romance and become embroiled in a dangerous labyrinth of lies and conspiracies. Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the Greek/French drama Broadway. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Gabriel Yared (The English PatientThe Talented Mr. Ripley,  Judy, Cold Mountain, Betty Blue1408). Also included is the song Snow Leopard by Sillyboy’s Ghost Relatives. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 20, 2022 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is also in the works. Broadway is written and directed by Christos Massalas and stars Elsa Lekakou, Foivos Papadopoulos, Stathis Apostolou and Rafael Papad. The movie is set in contemporary Athens and centers on a young woman who starts working at a strip club, where she meets a a small-time gangster who brings her to Broadway, an abandoned complex squatted by a community of artists and thieves living on the margins of society. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 thriller Flesh and Bone directed by Steve Kloves and starring Dennis Quaid, Meg Ryan, James Caan and Gwyneth Paltrow. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from film composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (American Beauty, The Shawshank Redemption, 1917, Finding Nemo, Skyfall, Wall-E, The Green Mile, Road to Perdition), including previously unreleased music from the movie and alternate cues. The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, will be available to order on the label’s official website at noon today. Varese Sarabande has previously released the original 1993 soundtrack album. The track is co-written (with BloodPop) and performed by Lady Gaga and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1995 fantasy adventure Jumanji directed by Joe Johnston and starring Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, David Alan Grier, Jonathan Hyde, Bradley Pierce and Bonnie Hunt. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Field of Dreams, Braveheart, Apollo 13, Aliens, The Rocketeer), including around 20 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as the content of the original 1995 soundtrack album (released by Epic Soundtrax). Paper Birds is directed by Federico Carlini & German Heller and features the voices of Archie Yates, Edward Norton and Joss Stone. Hans Zimmer (Dune, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, Interstellar, The Dark Knight) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama The Son. The film is directed by Florian Zeller (The Father) and stars Hugh Jackman, Vanessa Kirby, Laura Dern, Zen McGrath and Anthony Hopkins. The movie is based on Zeller’s stage play of the same name and follows a man whose life is thrown into disarray when his ex-wife  turns up with their troubled, distant and angry teenage son. The event runs May 2-5 across @ASCAP social media and @ASCAPScreen on Instagram. The ASCAP Composers’ Choice Awards, voted on exclusively by the ASCAP composer and songwriter community, are presented to Germaine Franco for Film Score of the Year for Disney’s Encanto; to Cristobal Tapia de Veer for Television Score of the Year & Television Theme of the Year for HBO’s The White Lotus; to Amanda Jones for Documentary Score of the Year for Dreamland: The Burning of Black Wall Street; and to Wataru Hokoyama for Video Game Score of the Year for his work on Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart .
