The movie is directed by Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story, The Squid and the Whale) and stars Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Raffey Cassidy, Alessandro Nivola, André Benjamin, Jodie Turner-Smith and Don Cheadle. The horror comedy is based on Don DeLillo’s epochal postmodern 1985 novel of the same title and follows a professor and father-of-four whose comfortable suburban college town life and marriage to a secretive woman are upended after a horrifying nearby accident creates an airborne toxic event of frightening and unknowable proportions.
