Intrada Records has announced a CD release of Jerry Goldsmith‘s music composed for the CBS 1950s/60s anthology TV series The General Electric Theater. The composer’s scores, which have previously been available individually as digital EPs, have been newly recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and reconstructed and conducted by Leigh Phillips. The music from the following episodes is featured on the album: Hitler’s Secret, The Last Dance, The Committeeman, The Legend That Walks Like a Man, Sarah’s Laughter, My Dark Days and The Bar Mitzvah of Major Orlovsky. The Foolshed will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama Mother, Couch. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Bear (of the indie rock band Grizzly Bear) (Past Lives, High Maintenance, Swallowed, If You Were the Last, The Passenger). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 12 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Mother, Couch is written and directed by Niclas Larsson and stars Ewan McGregor, Taylor Russell, Lara Flynn Boyle, Ellen Burstyn, F. Murray Abraham and Rhys Ifans.
