Crunchy Frog Records has released a soundtrack album for the Icelandic limited series The Danish Woman (Danska konan). The album features the original songs from the show performed by lead actress Trine Dyrholm and produced by the project’s composer Matti Kallio. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. The Danish Woman is created by Benedikt Erlingsson & Ólafur Egill Egilsson and stars Dyrholm, Besir Zeciri, Ebba Katrín Finnsdóttir, Svandis Dora Einarsdottir, Jens Albinus and Hilmar Guðjónsson. The 6-part drama follows a decorated secret station agent who moves into an apartment block in Reykjavik to live a quiet life, but her plans are short-lived as her elite soldier mentality and deep-rooted sense of justice kick in. Northern Artists Outlet has released a digital single featuring music from the German drama The Physician II (Der Medicus II). Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is a 31-minute orchestral suite written by the film’s composer Ingo Ludwig Frenzel (Young Goethe in Love, The Tunnel, The Royal Game, The Last Supper, Riesending) who previously scored 2013’s original The Physician movie. Also listen to the full track after the jump. The Physician II is directed by Philipp Stölzl and stars Tom Payne, Emily Cox, Liam Cunningham, Aidan Gillen and Áine Rose Daly. The sequel follows Rob Cole as he finds himself stranded in his old home of London and is soon drawn into the intrigues of the royal court and must fight once more for the lives of his patients, for the recognition of his work, and against a new challenge: the suffering of the human soul. Ludwig Göransson has won the Grammy Award for his score from Ryan Coogler’s Sinners in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category at today’s 68th Annual Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony in Los Angeles. He was previously honored with a Grammy in the same category for his music for Coogler’s Black Panther and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and also received two awards for Childish Gambino’s This Is America. Gondwana Records has released a soundtrack album for Joachim Trier’s drama Sentimental Value. The album features the film’s original music composed by Polish pianist, singer and composer Hania Rani (The Lost Flower of Alice Hart, Rosalie, The Summer Book, I Never Cry, Subuk). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A limited vinyl edition will be coming out on May 22.
