WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for The Wizard of Oz at Sphere featuring the original film score that was specifically re-recorded for the experience currently playing at Sphere in Las Vegas. The music was performed and re-recorded by a more than 80-piece orchestra on the historic scoring stage where it was initially recorded in 1939.The creative team for the project includes Academy Award-nominated composer David Newman (Anastasia, The Flintstones, War of the Roses, Serenity), Grammy Award-nominated music producer/sound designer Paul Freeman, Grammy Award-winning music supervisor Julianne Jordan and Academy Award-winning sound engineer Shawn Murphy. In addition to the newly recorded score, the album also includes a previously unreleased a cappella version of Judy Garland singing Over the Rainbow. Milan Records has announced the premiere vinyl edition of the soundtrack album for Luca Guadagnino’s Queer based on W.S. Burroughs’ novella and starring Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Lesley Manville, Henrique Zaga, Omar Apollo and Jason Schwartzman. The album featuring the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winners Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Challengers, Watchmen, Gone Girl, Soul, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mank), as well as the original end credits song Vaster Than Empires inspired by Burroughs’ final diary entry and performed by Caetano Veloso & Reznor, is pressed on 180-gram translucent cobalt vinyl and includes bespoke printed inner sleeves and a gatefold jacket featuring collage artwork.
