Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the psychological horror mystery Haunting of the Queen Mary. The album features the film’s original score composed by Jason & Nolan Livesay (Bounty, Nexus of Evil). Also included is Tiffany Ashton’s cover of It Had To Be You, as well as several other songs. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 18 and will be available to stream/download here. Haunting of the Queen Mary is co-written and directed by Gary Shore and stars Alice Eve, Joel Fry, Nell Hudson and Lenny Rush. The movie explores the violent and mysterious events surrounding one family’s voyage on Halloween night in 1938, and their interwoven destiny with another family onboard the infamous ocean liner present day. Composer/saxophonist Branford Marsalis is reuniting with director George C. Wolfe (Lackawanna Blues, Nights in Rodanthe) on the upcoming Netflix original film Rustin. The biographical drama stars Colman Domingo as activist Bayard Rustin who organized the 1963 March on Washington while being forced into the background because of his sexuality. Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, CCH Pounder, Gus Halper, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Michael Potts and Johnny Ramey are also starring in the movie, which is written by Julian Breece and Dustin Lance Black (Milk, Under the Banner of Heaven) based on a story by Breece.
