1601FrTrayExt.inddFilm Score Monthly has announced new soundtrack deluxe edition for the 1969 western The Wild Bunch directed by Sam Peckinpah and starring William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, Edmond O’Brien and Warren Oates. The film’s music is composed by Jerry Fielding who received an Academy Award nomination for his work on the picture. The soundtrack features the complete score, a re-mastering of the 1969 soundtrack album; plus extensive alternates, as well as demo recordings and additional music. tenDavid Sardy has signed on to score the upcoming action thriller Ten. The film is directed by David Ayer (Street Kings, screenwriter of Training Day) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of an elite DEA task force that takes on the world’s deadliest drug cartels. Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Max Martini, Josh Holloway, Olivia Williams and Mireille Enos are co-starring. Skip Woods (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, A Good Day to Die Hard, Swordfish) has written the screenplay and Joe Roth (Oz the Great and PowerfulAlice in Wonderland), Bill Block & Paul Hanson (W., Alex Cross), Palak Patel (Snow White and the Huntsman) and Al Ruddy (Million Dollar Baby) are producing the project. ‘The Host’ Soundtrack Details

the-hostMetropolis Movie Music will release the official soundtrack album for Andrew Niccol’s sci-fi romance The Host. The album features the film’s original score composed by Antonio Pinto (City of God, Snitch, Senna) who has previously scored Niccol’s Lord of War. Also included is the hit song Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. The soundtrack will be released on March 26, 2013. Check back on this page for audio clips. The Host based on the bestselling novel by Stephenie Meyer and adapted for the screen by Niccol stars Saoirse Ronan, Jake Abel, Max Irons, William Hurt, Diane Kruger, Chandler Canterbury and Frances Fisher. ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Soundtrack Announced

The album features songs from the series by artists including Daughtry, The Wild Feathers, LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Ryan Bingham, Jakob Dylan, Little Dragon, Caro Emerald, Taio Cruz, Jim Hanft, Allen Stone, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Adrian Lux.  The soundtrack will be released on April 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. NCIS: Los Angeles created by Shane Brennan stars Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J,, Daniela Ruah, Barrett Foa, Eric Christian Olsen, Renee Felice Smith and Linda Hunt. The comedy is directed by Malcolm Lee (Undercover Brother, The Best Man) and stars Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, Erica Ash, J.P. Manoux, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Heather Locklear, Charlie Sheen, Lindsey Lohan and Chris Elliott. David Zucker (Airplanethe Naked Gun)  has co-written the screenplay with Pat Proft (Police Academy) and is also producing the Dimension Films production with Phil Dornfeld. Venable has previously scored the last two parts in the Scary Movie series and followed David Kitay has composed the score for the original movie and Marco Beltrami who scored the first sequel. Two new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:

ozOpening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Oz the Great and Powerful directed by Sam Raimi and starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff. Danny Elfman composed the film’s original score. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally earlier this week. oblivionDirk Brossé is composing the score for the upcoming romantic adventure Singularity. The film is directed by Roland Joffé (The Mission, The Killing Fields) and stars Josh Hartnett, Tamsin Egerton, Bipasha Basu and Abhay Deol. The movie follows a marine archaeologist who is left brain dead after a dangerous dive to save his wife while exploring an 18th century merchant ship wreckage. Joffé has also written the screenplay based on a story by Ajey Jhankar. Paul Breuls & Catherine Vandeleene (The Devil’s Double) are producing the Corsan production with Guy J. alex-heffesAlex Heffes has been hired to score the upcoming biographical drama Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. The film is directed by Justin Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl) and stars Idris Elba in the title role as the South African civil rights leader and Naomie Harris as Nelson Mandela’s wife, Winnie. Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva, Jamie Bartlett, Lindiwe Matshikiza, Deon Lotz and Terry Pheto are co-starring. William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Miserables) has written the screenplay based on Mandela’s autobiography. The movie is produced by Anant Singh (Pulse) who started communicating with Mandela about making a film based on his life while he was still in prison and acquired the film rights to Mandela’s book at the time of its publication in 1996.
