Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album for the family comedy The Little Rascals Save the Day. The album features the film’s original score composed by Chris Hajian (Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, First Position), as well as the songs created for the film and performed by the film’s cast including Nikki Leonti, Ace Young, River Alexander and Eden Wood. Also included is a new cover of Canned Heat’s Let’s Work Together by pop band The 88. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Transcendence. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball). EuropaCorp will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller 3 Days to Kill. The album features the film’s original score composed by Guillaume Roussel (Crossing Lines, It Boy). Cosmos Studios Music will release a second soundtrack album for the Fox docu-series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. The Volume 2 soundtrack features more music from the show composed by Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future trilogy, The Avengers). Jóhann Jóhannsson is set to score the upcoming drama Theory of Everything. The film is directed by James Marsh (Man on Wire) and stars Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones, Charlie Cox, Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Lesley Manville, Simon McBurney, Maxine Peake and Harry Lloyd. The movie centers on the relationship between physicist Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde, the arts student he fell in love with when he attended Cambridge in the 1960s. The details of the soundtrack album for the action sequel The Raid 2 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion) and Aria Prayogi & Fajar Yuskemal. Also included is the original song Hush written and performed by Indonesian Jazz Artist Arti Dewi. The soundtrack will be released on April 29, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Trapanese has previously scored the U.S. version of the original film with Mike Shinoda and Prayogi & Yukesmal composed the music for the original version, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2011. The Raid 2 directed by Gareth Evans picks up right where the first film left off and follows Rama, played by Iko Uwais, as he goes undercover and infiltrates the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force. ‘She-Devil’ Score Album Announced

Music Box Records has announced the world premiere release of the score for the 1989 comedy She-Devil directed by Susan Seidelman and starring Meryl Streep, Roseanne Barr, Ed Begley Jr., Sylvia Miles and Linda Hunt. The film’s music is composed and conducted by Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Departed, The Silence of the Lambs). The album features 42 minutes of the composer’s score. A soundtrack for the comedy was released in 1989, but only featured songs from and inspired by the film. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere CD release of the soundtrack for the 1975 drama Jaqueline Susann’s Once Is Not Enough directed by Guy Green and starring Kirk Douglas, Deborah Raffin, David Janssen, Alexis Smith, George Hamilton, Melina Mercouri and Brenda Vaccaro. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther, Breakfast at Tiffany’s). Eric Serra is reuniting with director Luc Besson on the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Lucy. The movie stars Scarlett Johansson, Morgan Freeman, Choi Min-sik, Analeigh Tipton and Amr Waked. The film follows a female drug mule who gains superhuman powers after the drug she is carrying enters her body. Besson has also written the screenplay and is also producing the EuropaCorp, TF1 Film and Canal Plus production with Christophe Lambert (It Boy). Serra has scored most of Besson’s directorial efforts including Leon: The Professional, The Big Blue, La Femme Nikita, The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc and The Fifth Element.
