Warner Bros. Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Good Lie. The album features the original song Find a Way by Nico & Vinz, which is already available as a single, as well as tracks by Emmanuel Jal & Nelly Furtado, Melpo Mene, Run River North, Xavier Rudd and Ayub Ogada. Also included are four cues from the film’s original score composed by Martin Leon (Monsieur Lazhar). The soundtrack will be released on September 30, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Good Lie is directed by Philippe Falardeau and stars Reese Witherspoon, Arnold Oceng, Ger Duany, Emmanuel Jal and Corey Stoll. Henry Jackman to Return for Marvel’s ‘Captain America 3’

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed in a recent interview with Comicbook.com that Henry Jackman will return to score Marvel Studios’ Captain America 3. Chris Evans is returning to star in the title role as Steve Roger in the currently untitled sequel. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (The Chronicles of Narnia series, Thor: The Dark World) who penned the previous installment in the series are writing the screenplay. No plot details have been announced yet. Kevin Feige (The Avengers, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy) is once again producing the project for Marvel. Jackman previously scored this year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier for the Russo brothers while the first Captain America movie directed by Joe Johnston was scored by Alan Silvestri. WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama This Is Where I Leave You. The album features the songs featured in the film by such artists as Alexi Murdoch, Coldplay, INXS, Saint Raymond, Cyndi Lauper, The Psychedelic Furs and Distant Cousins. ‘Turn’ Soundtrack Announced

Republic Records will release a soundtrack album for the AMC original series Turn. The album features six songs from the show by such artists as Matt Berninger, Jake Bugg, Sarah Blasko, Jonathan Wilson, Gary Lightbody and Andrew Bird. The label has previously released the individual tracks as singles. The soundtrack will be released on September 2, 2014. Turn is created by Craig Silverstein and stars Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, Meegan Warner, Kevin R. McNally, Burn Gorman, Angus Macfadyen, JJ Feild and Samuel Roukin. The drama’s first season scored by Marco Beltrami premiered earlier this year on AMC. Rob Simonsen to Score ‘Master Cleanse’

Director Bobby Miller announced on Twitter that Rob Simonsen is scoring the upcoming horror comedy Master Cleanse. The film is written and directed by Miller and stars Johnny Galecki, Anna Friel, Oliver Platt and Anjelica Huston. The movie follows a man who decides to restart his life, joining a spiritual retreat designed to cleanse negative toxins from his body. Jordan Horowitz (The Kids Are All Right, Save the Date) is producing the project for Gilbert Films, alongside Aaron L. Gilbert (A Single Shot, Trust Me) for Bron Studios and Galecki for Alcide Bava Pictures. Master Cleanse is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2015. Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the action thriller The Equalizer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Man on Fire, Cowboys & Aliens, Shrek, Kingdom of Heaven). The soundtrack will be released on September 23, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Howe Records will release three new soundtrack albums for a number of films directed by David Cronenberg featuring music written by the director’s regular composer Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silence of the Lambs). The first release features the complete and remastered score for the 1996 psychological thriller Crash starring James Spader, Deborah Kara Unger, Elias Koteas, Holly Hunter and Rosanna Arquette. The soundtrack will be released on October 14, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Premiering tonight in the U.S. on PBS as part of Masterpiece Mystery is the British medical drama Breathless co-created and written by Paul Unwin (Shameless) and starring Jack Davenport, Iain Glen, Zoe Boyle Catherine Steadman, Iain Glen, Natasha Little, Oliver Chris, Joanna Page and Shaun Dingwall. The show’s original music is composed by Academy Award winner Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, American History X, Black Box). Breathless follows a group of doctors and nurses in a hospital in 1960s London. The series premiered last fall in the UK on ITV and will air in the US Sunday nights on PBS. John Swihart has been hired to score the upcoming ABC comedy Cristela. The show is created by Kevin Hench (Last Man Standing) and stand-up comedienne Cristela Alonzo who also stars in the series alongside Carlos Ponce, Terri Hoyos, Andrew Leeds, Sam McMurray. The comedy follows an American Latina law student who hopes to land a prestigious law firm internship as her mother hectors her about getting a real job, her brother-in-law encourages her to move out and her sister runs low on patience. Hench and Alonzo are also executive producing the 20th Century Fox TV and 21 Laps-Adelstein production with Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Real Steel, Date Night), Becky Clements (Last Man Standing) and Marty Adelstein (Hanna, Prison Break). The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, Beverly Hills Chihahua).
