Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe are scoring the upcoming NBC event mini-series A.D.. The 12-parter is the sequel to last year’s History series The Bible and starts with the Crucifixion and The Resurrection and chronicles the events that follow. The show’s cast includes Juan Pablo di Pace, Vincent Regan, Greta Scacchi, Aniss Elkohen, Richard Coyle, Babou Ceesay, Chipo Chung, Cesare Taurasi and Adam Levy. Simon Block (Inspector Lewis) has written the scripts. Mark Burnett (Survivor, Shark Tank) and Roma Downey are executive producing the project with Richard Bedser. Jon Brion to Score Judd Apatow’s ‘Trainwreck’

Jon Brion is reuniting with director Judd Apatow (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up) on the upcoming comedy Trainwreck. The film is written by comedian Amy Schumer who also stars in the film alongside Bill Hader, LeBron James, Brie Larson, Tilda Swinton, John Cena and Ezra Miller. The movie follows a commitment-averse woman who is trying to get past her self-sabotaging ways. Apatow is also producing the project with Barry Mendel (The Sixth Sense, Bridesmaids, The Royal Tenenbaums). Playtime will release a soundtrack album for the comedy The Price of Fame (La rançon de la gloire). The album features the film’s original music written and conducted by Academy Award-winning composer Michel Legrand (The Thomas Crown Affair, Yentl, Never Say Never Again). The Price of Fame is written and directed by Xavier Beauvois and stars Benoit Poelvoorde, Roschdy Zem, Seli Gmach, Chiara Mastroianni, Nadine Labaki, Peter Coyote, Xavier Maly, Arthur Beauvois and Dolores & Eugene Chaplin. Dominic Lewis has been tapped to score the upcoming teen comedy The DUFF. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Ari Sandel who received an Ocar for his short West Bank Story and stars Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Bianca A. Santos, Allison Janney and Ken Jeong. The movie based on the novel by Kody Keplinger follows a high school senior whose world is turned upside down when she learns that her group of friends has labeled her the DUFF (designated ugly fat friend). Josh A. Kagan (Bandslam) has written the screenplay. McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator: Salvation), Susan Cartsonis (What Women Want, Beastly) and Mary Viola (Before We Go, Playing It Cool) are producing the project for Wonderland Sound and Vision. Hans Zimmer is set to score the upcoming animated feature The Little Prince (Le petit prince). The movie based on the novel of the same title by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry follows a pilot who crashes in the desert and meets a little boy from a distant planet who regales him with stories about his home and the inhabitants of nearby asteroids. ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Volume 4 Soundtrack Announced

Columbia Records will release a new soundtrack album for the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Sons of Anarchy: Vol. 4 features Ed Sheeran’s song Make It Rain, as well as collaborations between the show’s house band The Forest Rangers and artists including Billy Valentine, Amos Lee, The White Buffalo, Franky Perez, Joshua James, Audra Mae & more. The soundtrack will be released on February 24, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
