Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the horror thriller GirlHouse. The album features the film’s original score composed by tomandandy (The Mothman Prophecies, The Strangers, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Arlington Road, The Rules of Attraction). Also included is an original track by Slaine who stars in the film, as well as songs by Todd Michael Schultz, Com Truise and Jesse Rhodes. Mark Kilian and Paul Hepker are reteaming with director Gavin Hood (Ender’s Game, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) on the ucpoming thriller Eye in the Sky. The film stars Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul, Alan Rickman, Barkhad Abdi, Iain Glen, Phoebe Fox and Carl Beukes. The movie follows a London-based military intelligence officer who is remotely commanding a top secret drone operation that aims to capture a group of terrorists in Nairobi. Guy Hibbard (Five Minutes of Heaven) has written the screenplay. Actor Colin Firth is producing the project with Ged Doherty and David Lancaster (Nightcrawler, Whiplash). Tim McGraw to Perform for Glen Campbell at the Oscars

Academy Awards show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today that Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and actor Tim McGraw will perform the Oscar-nominated song I’m Not Gonna Miss You for Glen Campbell at the 87th Oscars ceremony on February 22. The song written by Campbell and Julian Raymond for the documentary feature Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me is one of the five nominated songs in the Best Original Song category, alongside Everything Is Awesome from The Lego Movie, Glory from Selma, Grateful from Beyond the Lights and Lost Stars from Begin Again. The 87th Oscars, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

A&E Television Networks will release a soundtrack album for the History event mini-series Sons of Liberty. The album features the show’s title theme composed by Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King) and Lorne Balfe (Penguins of Madagascar, Megamind), as well as the score composed by Balfe. The soundtrack is now available to stream on Spotify and a digital release is expected soon. Sons of Liberty is directed by Kari Skogland and stars Ben Barnes, Rafe Spall, Michael Raymond-James, Henry Thomas, Ryan Eggold, Dean Norris, Marton Csokas, Emily Berrington and Jason O’Mara. The details of La-La Land Records’ and Madison Gate Records’ soundtrack release featuring the scores for Seth Rogen’s & Evan Goldberg’s comedies The Interview and This Is the End have been revealed. The albums feature the films’ original music composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Wreck-It-Ralph). The soundtrack is now available digitally on iTunes. A limited soundtrack edition CD will be released next month and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Interview starring James Franco, Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan and Randall Park follows a TV talk show host and producer who land an interview with Korean dictator Kim Jong-un as an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. Oscar show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today that singer, songwriter and actress Rita Ora will perform the Oscar-nominated song Grateful at the 87th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, February 22. The song written by Diane Warren for Gina Prince-Bythewood’s film Beyond the Lights starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw & Nate Parker is one of the five nominated songs in the Best Original Song category. This marks Warren’s seventh Oscar nomination. She was previously nominated for such movies as Armageddon, Up Close & Personal, Pearl Harbor, Con Air and Music of the Heart. Big Machine Records will release a full soundtrack album for the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. The album features the songs from the film performed by the Grammy-winning singer and Country Music Hall of Fame member, including the Academy Award-nominated original song I’m Not Gonna Miss You written by Campbell and Julian Raymond. Also included is a track by The Band Perry, who previously paid tribute to Campbell during the 2012 Grammy Awards and an original song by Campbell’s daughter Ashley. The soundtrack will be released on February 17, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released an EP featuring five songs from the film. Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me directed and produced by James Keach (Walk the Line) and produced by Trevor Albert (Groundhog Day) showcases the man and his music throughout Campbell’s struggle with Alzheimer’s.
