Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the animated musical comedy Wish directed by Chris Buck & Fawn Veerasunthorn and starring Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine, Angelique Cabral, Victor Garber, Alan Tudyk, Natasha Rothwell, Harvey Guillén, Evan Peters and Ramy Youseff. The film’s original songs are written by Julia Michaels & Benjamin Rice and the movie’s original score is composed by Dave Metzger (Brother Bear 2, Tarzan & Jane). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs last week and has also released a separate deluxe edition featuring both songs and score on Wednesday. Also playing in theaters nationwide since Wednesday is the historical drama Napoleon directed by Ridley Scott and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby, Tahar Rahim, Edouard Philipponnat, Rupert Everett, Catherine Walker and Ludivine Sagnier. Martin Phipps (The Crown, Victoria, Woman in Gold, The Honourable Woman, War & Peace, The Aftermath) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week.
